Lambda Omicron Chapter

Lambda Omicron's Unique Service Projects

The Run is our chapter's annual fundraiser for the Autism Society of Pittsburgh. Every fall semester, the brothers of Lambda Omicron run 78 miles relay style from Pittsburgh, PA to Mountaineer Field in Morgantown, WV. In Fall 2013, our brothers have raised over $4000. We also do a walk in the spring semester.

KSC (Kids Science Carnival)

The Kids Science Carnival is a project held in the spring semesters and provides a learning experience to kids in the community. Several booths are set up with scientific experiments that allow hands on learning for the children. Previous booths have included paper mache volcanoes, coke & mentos and archaeological digs!

Every spring semester our chapter does a charity event with the organization St. Baldricks. A stage is set up in the Mountain Lair, Student Union and people donate $10 and there hair is shaved. All proceeds from the event go to benefit cancer research.
